Current Research

In collaborative studies, the Wipf group aims to design, synthesize, and develop novel organic molecules as therapeutics for hearing related pathologies. In particular, we are interested in the modulation of ion channels and brain G-protein-coupled receptors by specific low molecular weight ligands. We are also developing mitochondria-targeted agents for applications in neurodegenerative diseases and aging.
