Current Research

Dr. Hirsch is Professor of Otolaryngology and Communication Sciences and Disorders and Neurological Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is the Director of the Ear and Hearing Center and the Division of Otology/Neurotology.

Dr. Hirsch graduated medical school from the University of Pennsylvania and completed otolaryngology residency and neurotology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the University of Zurich. Dr. Hirsch's specific fields of interest include otology, neurotology, cranial base surgery, disorders of the facial nerve, cochlear implants, acoustic neuromas, Outcomes of treatment of Meniere's disease and stereotactic radiosurgery of intracranial and skull base tumors.
